is Scuderia Rampante’s Motorsport Sales Division.We take a special interest to Ferrari, but also delve into any automotive pursuit that stirs one’s emotions.
Coming from a 40+ year veteran in Ferrari Service and Restoration, the ‘cheapest’ example of any model Ferrari, ALWAYS looks better in the neighbor’s driveway, than your own! ‘Value’ is the key to purchasing a pre-owned Ferrari, a trait that often proves elusive and exceptionally hard to distinguish. The term “Fresh Major Service” is one I always suggest to avoid at all costs. How many actually think a “complete, everything the car needs” service is performed when it is being done just to produce the necessary paperwork to sell the car?! No, when a Ferrari requires a Service, it is the New Owner who should be in charge of what is being done and to what level.
If a vehicle hits our Raging Stables show floor, it is because it has been pre-vetted by our Scuderia Rampante Inc. Service Team and meets our own criteria where we would be proud of one of our customers owning it… it’s as simple as that. We stake our World Class reputation on every car we sell, a term we do not take lightly!
The PPI check out sheets are all printed and already done. Compression and leak down tests are performed to our own quality standards, dated and mileage noted with the service professional’s signature at the bottom. If it needs to be “Checked”, if it needs to be “Tested”, if it needs to be “Reprogrammed” or “Needs short-term future work”, it has already been done in our own inspection process to determine if that particular vehicle meets our own requirements. Simply put, if we know about it, you will as well.
It is our intension to completely change the Ferrari buying experience into a positive and rewarding one where fright of the unknowns are eliminated. Word of Mouth referrals from past satisfied buyers, only come our way when one feels strongly enough about their purchasing experience, to share it with others…… and that doesn’t happen when “Good” is the description, that requires “Great!”

[FOR SALE] 1983 Ferrari 512 BBi
As close to a “Race Car with a license plate” as has ever been put on the road by the Maranello Craftsmen!
Pininfarina designed, and hand built by Scaglietti, it is the very last of the Ferrari’s where everything was hand built by master craftsmen who were passionate about their results. Derived from the Ferrari “P” series race cars, the Ferrari Boxer design was the first mid-engine 12 cylinder car series made for road going use.
The 512BBi proved the ultimate development of the Boxer line yet never losing the raw driver feedback often lost in later model refinements. It is a car that can be extremely docile in city traffic or a completely visceral experience, where steering can be accomplished by either the steering wheel, or the right foot! This is the model that Enzo himself was worried his clients would not be able to handle!
The last of the Ferrari models where a talented and focused individual can work on and maintain without the use of specialized Ferrari computers, yet still be able to fill up at the local filling station and know it will start every time–even in the hottest summer weather. The Bosch CIS fuel injection on the “i” models eliminates the concerns of Vapor Lock, a fact of life that stifles the use of the earlier carbureted models on a summer day due to the present day fuels available. The Ferrari 512BBi is the Drivers model, one that can be used as Enzo intended.
This incredibly well preserved 1983 Ferrari 512BBi was owned and cared for by a very dear friend for many years. It is the car I have sought for decades, for my own personal collection. A Survivor, Preservation Class level example, that has remained completely unmolested over the years, its prior owners care shows in every small detail. The ultimate level updates have all been collected and installed on the car. Tubi exhaust, Ansa Sport headers, MSD ignition, European Light package….. while still retaining all of the original parts, safely packaged in a crate.
Due to our upcoming building purchase and business expansion, I am now reluctantly starting the search for the next caretaker for this top level example. I have collected all of the parts required to bring this car to the driving level that I myself demand. All of our SRI designed and built components are set aside, new stainless steel valves to eliminate any future concerns related to that problem, every thing I personally required was personally hand picked to make this the best running BBi on the road, bar none!
As with all of our Raging Stable Sales cars, when required, I am a firm believer that a new owner should be in control of how a Service is done on these fine cars. A FULL, new owner controlled Service is inclusive in the sales price, one where the new owner is calling the shots, not a Sales Dept. figuring how and where they can cut corners.
